We donated 50% of my royalties in 2020 to The Bail Project

Police Brutality is not OK. Systemic Racism is not OK. These issues are inexorably linked and this, too, is not OK. The United States has a long history with both systemic racism as well as police brutality. This is not OK.

I cannot put my body on the line, nor can I address the problem through voting (I live in Washington, DC and have no representation in Congress).

As such, I have donated 50% of the royalties I make from sales of my books during 2020 to The Bail Project. This was $4,537!

How This Worked

Below is an accounting of sorts that I used to keep track of the donations publicly.

This is not here for credit or to signal what a magninmous dude I am. It's here for transparency so that we both know that what I said above actually happened. I mean, I guess that's a form of credit, but I'm not looking to be thanked or to earn some sorta kudos.
